Come see our family of sugar glider and their joeys. We do adopt out joeys to caring homes, please check our our webpage and our Facebook page to get to know us more and our gliders. Thank you!
Here is a basic list of items needed for glider care!
-Cage (must be big enough for them to jump and climb around in and bar spacing can not be more than 1/2inch or less, they can get out) (non coated metal is not safe for gliders)( I have a link for cages)(picture shown is an example of set up, set made by us and picture is from Sugar Glider Fancy)
-water bottle or silo
-Stealth wheel/or a wheel like it such as the Custom Cruiser (NOT WODENT) (I have a link for wheel)
- cage pouch and set (I make mine from antipill fleece or Blizzard, the fabric doesnt fray so safer for your babies)
-vitamins for the staple diet you have chosen( We use TPG/ The pet glider diet)
- Toys for foraging/ tail caring/ stimulation(Sugar Glider Fancy is who we recommend )
- kitchens to keep food mess contained ( can buy or ask for me to show you how to make your own :) )
- A BUDDY, I cannot stress to people that you cannot have just one glider you must plan on two. Gliders are social animals and do live in colonies in the wild. They get depressed when alone and no matter how much attention you give them they still need another glider to keep them company.
(This list is the basic idea of what you need for gliders, can discuss more detail) Go to my Links tab for the links to the above items :)
NOT SAFE!! rodent/wodent wheels, ANYTHING from pocket pets( they are a broker and do not care about the well being of the gliders or proper care), ropes or any other fabric that is not fleece( some sets are safely made by cotton fabrics but please ask me for more details), pellet foods. Also beware where you buy your items for your gliders, many items are made in poor quality and for the safety of your gliders we urge you to watch where you get your items from :) If you have questions on to why they are not safe I will be happy to answer them please do contact me.
